Pre-loaded Files

Show previously uploaded files in the uploader on page load. Useful for edit forms where files were already uploaded.

What you should see: the queue already populated on load with files the server knows about, so an edit screen can show existing attachments alongside new ones.
var uploader = CoreUpload.create('#preloadedUploader', {
 uploadUrl: '/api/upload/upload',
 multiple: true,
 progress: true,
 preloadedFiles: [
 { name: 'report.pdf', size: 245000 },
 { name: 'photo.jpg', size: 1820000 },
 { name: 'data.xlsx', size: 56000 }
 ]
});

Starting with what is already there

An edit form usually has attachments from last time. Pre-loading them puts those files in the queue as completed entries, so the user sees one list containing both the existing files and the new ones rather than two separate interfaces.

They are references, not uploads

A pre-loaded entry stands for a file the server already holds, so removing one has to be a delete on your side — there was never an upload to cancel. Keeping that distinction straight is what stops an edit form silently detaching files the user never touched.
